What can I buy to block microwave radiation? (Absorb/Directed Deflection)?Blue gel used in cooler packs. Something like that blue gel used in cooler packs instead of ice also exhibits the ability to absorb microwaves. Might sound strange, but buy some foamboard from Staples. If you cab construct a box of sorts that is about 1.5 inches deep and length and width as you choose. Patially fill a few gallon zip lock bags with water, expelling the air. Try and place a few bags inside of yoru constructed box. the box is to support the bags in an upright orientation If you want, use the quart sized bags, just use more of them. And construct the box to be able to hold the weight of the water. This wall of water will effectively act as an absorber of the microwaves.. Even placing a few containers of water near the oven will work. The closer to one another, the better. Aluminum foil will reflect any residual radiation. Of course it does look funny on you r head
